Memory Verse Fun!

Memory Verse

Psalm 150:6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Props: breath mints

Point out the reference (Psalm 150:6) and tell them that the book of Psalms is in the middle of the Bible. Then say, 150 is the Psalm, and number 6 is the verse. Have them read the verse together with you one time written on the dry erase board or from a PowerPoint.

Say, “Look at the word “everything” Everything is - all of us -  We are all to praise the Lord. We are to praise Him with our whole being or self. What does the word breath mean? Something like these (show breath mints)? The word “breath” is with our mouth in which we are praise Him.

If we know Jesus this morning, He wants us to praise Him even if we feel sad, mad, or sick. If we do not know Jesus, we can still praise Him, because He is worthy of all our praise. He created us, gives us food and clothing, and gave us a great country to live in with freedom to worship Him.

Have the kids say the verse playing this game.
1. Those wearing green stand and say the verse with me.
2. Those wearing no socks stand and say the verse with me.
3. Those who are under 9 years old stand and say the verse with me.
4. Those who had milk this morning stand and say the verse with me.
5. Those who have brown hair stand and say the verse with me.
6. Those wearing blue jeans stand and say the verse with me.
7. Everyone who likes pizza stand and say the vserse with me.

Now let’s all say it together one more time while you close your eyes. Great job!

Sing the “Doxology” one time. Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below, Praise Him above ye heavenly host,

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen!
