2. Jesus speaks His last words. Luke 24:36-53
3. His church was to witness. Acts 1:8
4. The witness of one of them. Acts 8:5-13
5. The church sent missionaries. Acts 13:1-13
6. The Christians go preaching. Acts 11:19-26
7. "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16: 15
8. The first part of this lesson deals with enemies of Jesus; they had a message.
9. The second part deals with Christ's plan.
a. The Lord gave His church her plan.
b. The enemies hired men to lie.
c. The church has true facts.
d. The church receives power from God.
I. WHAT BIBLE TEACHING DOES SATAN HATE MOST?
A. The women went to tell of the empty tomb.
B. What did Satan's workers do?
1. They went to tell that the body of Jesus was gone.
2. They had to make up a lie to cover the facts.
3. The soldiers took the bribe.
4. Thirty years later this was still reported.
5. Some people still believe this lie.
II. TO WHOM DID THE LORD GIVE THE GREAT COMMISSION?
A. It was given to something that would last.
B. What has been here in every age? Matt. 16:18
C. It was given to His churches.
III. WHO HAS THE AUTHORITY TO SEND OUT MISSIONARIES?
A. The Holy Spirit called Barnabas and Paul.
B. The church at Antioch sent them out. Acts 13: 1 1. This is God's plan today.
IV. HOW ARE THESE CHURCH SENT MISSIONARIES TO BE SUPPORTED?
A. The church at Philippi supported Paul. Phil. 4:16
B. Out of poverty the Macedonians gave. II Cor 8:2
C. Paul took wages from churches. II Cor.ll:8
D. Every child of God should want to support missions.
E. Should be done through the church.
F. One church may be able to support a mission.
G. If not, many churches can go together and support.
V. WHO SHOULD THE CHURCHES SEND AS MISSIONARIES?
A. Those that God calls.
B. We should pray that the Lord would call the best of our men to this great work.
C. World-wide missions is the very heart of the work the Lord left for His churches to do.
