COME AND SEE MINISTRY is the RETREAT AND SEMINAR Ministry of The Church on Higher Ground, Cumberland County, Tennessee. We are located on a mountain in Tennessee and on the world wide web inviting people to COME AND SEE that Jesus is the way to experience and live life to the fullest measure.

HOWEVER, We are available for those who are wanting to come and seek the will of God and follow Him fully. Jesus Said, "Come And See" and So Do We
When some men came to ask Jesus about His life, He did not just give them a verbal explanation, He said, "Come and See." The men went with Him and not only were their lives changed, they became world changers themselves.
Today people are still curious about Jesus and His way of life. However, there are so many counterfeits on the scene today, and so many false Christ's, people really do not have any idea as to who or what He is. There are many who call themselves Christian, yet do not show the likeness of Jesus. In order to convince people of His truth, true Christians must open up their lives for others to see the viability of the gospel.
Too often the unwary seeker justs jump on any old band wagon and allows themselves to be taken for a ride. It is as if, "Any cause is better than no cause at all." No wonder so many are caught in the Web of confusion which is spun by the Cults and False Religions of today. There are many "false Christs" in the world, which lead into darkness and bondage rather than light and freedom. Yet there are multitudes who follow these "false saviors" into a life of futility. It is not always safe to Believe, Accept, Follow, Trust or Obey anyone, even if they claim to be Christian.
We must be wise in choosing the path of life, and that means we must examine the Faith and Practice of those we look to for Leadership. The only Safe Way is His Way. The WAY we choose must be JESUS, since He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life..." But we must examine the way we choose, to be certain that it is truly His way. When we find a person or a group of people who want to lead us in the way of "faith and life", we must evaluate their beliefs and practices by the Bible, which is God's final authority on truth.
Men abandoned the revelation of God in the Old Testament and invented their own set of beliefs and standards. In the New Testament, men exchanged the truth of God for the traditions of men. Ever since those days there has been a need to come back to what God says. Churches and movements which historically were known to be faithful to God and His Word have sometimes veered from the truth. We must not follow blindly, but choose wisely. We must be certain that we are not being fooled to follow a false Jesus, or Spirit or Gospel.
This is why we invite people to Come and See our ministry. We want them to Come And See our internet ministry (read our studies, email us, chat with us) and our Tennessee ministry (The Church On Higher Ground). See how we live and what we believe. Ask questions, search the Scriptures and always let Jesus be your final answer.
The Church on Higher Ground says Come and See. Come and see what we teach, report and proclaim on the internet. Come and see how we worship, serve, praise and fellowship through our church. Come and see how we live, and what we believe about Jesus in our simple and rustic mountain retreat.
If you are looking for just a vacation getaway, stay away. If you are looking for a time of frivolous fun, find it somewhere else. But if you want to meet Jesus or go deeper with Him, Come And See.
Life here is not set by Madison Avenue nor financed by Wall Street, but it can bring returns which are eternal. This is not a college or university with degrees and prestige, but it can be a place of learning how to live simply, righteously and obediently. This is not the life for everyone. If you treasure your "comfort-zone", you needn't come. If you "know it all" and are not willing to learn, you needn't come. If you are not a team player, you needn't come. If you are not willing to pull your load, you needn't come. But if you want to meet Jesus or go deeper with Him, Come And See.
