![]() Welcome to the homepage of ChristFest! Ministries a new ministry dedicated to changing lives and saving souls. My name is Jackielyn Rivers, and I am the founder, promoter, and organizer of ChristFest! Ministries. Since the year of 2006, I have been working on an event by the name of ChristFest! The goal was (and still is) to lead a large mass of people to the Cross over a three day period, through the influence of Christian music, speakers and performers..... THE VISION: For a while, I had seen a vision in my spirit; I was standing on a stage before a large group of people who were gathered in a large building with their hands reached up toward the cealing or toward the stage, where I was standing.I saw faces that were recieving the words in their hearts, and there was an illuminating light all over us that were there in the building. Starting out, I didn't understand the meaning of this vision, I didn't know what the large building was supposed to be, I didn't understand the faces I was or the illuminating light of warmth that I felt. I was only 17 years old at the time when I saw this, but as I began to get older things began to fall into place. I knew this "vision that I saw was supposed to be a concert of some kind, but what would I call it? Then like a genle rain from the heavens, I heard the word "ChristFest!" I began to toy with the idea, "What would ChristFest! be, what would it look like, where would it be held?" Suddenly, my eyes fell upon the Reunion Arena here in Dallas, TX. And I knew God had a plan, so, step by step, I followed.... I spent time doodling the "logo" for ChristFest! at the same time, trying to figure out what the purpose of ChristFest! was. Even though I saw the faces, I saw the crowd and I saw the logo, what was the purpose of the event? AN ANSWER TO PRAYER? Not long after asking that question, college became a focus in my life, what was I going to do with my life, once I graduated high school. I did not have any actual direction as to what to major in college, so I chose a cliche; Computer Technology and Science. For some reason, everytime I tried to "persue" this uninthusiastic vision of "Computer Science and Technology", the door kept being shut. "What now God?" One day, my mom came to me and counceled me, and got me to narrow down my college choices to my main interest. I enjoyed working with animals (I had 1 guinea pig and about 13 gerbils at the time, plus a beta). I loved art, in a hands on perspective (I did a lot of drawing). I also loved music (I had some history in playing the piano, but wanted an acoustic guitar really badly). So it came down to these three: (1) Graphic Design or Photographer (2)Veterinary Assistant (3)Musician Like all mom's my mom wanted me to focus more on my main talent which was writing, but I couldn't see myself going to school just to become a writer (even though I wrote a lot of poetry on the side). I found myself taking care of my pets as a chore, I enjoyed writing and drawing and playing air guitar to influence my mom to buy me a real one. And so putting things together, I figured that it was part of God's plan for me to finish college before I established ChristFest! TO DO, OR NOT TO DO... This wasn't the case, at the beginning of 2006, ideas began flowing into my head even more so about how ChristFest! was supposed to take place. The mission was to establish a concert that was to last for three days. The attraction would be christian bands (rock, alternative, pop, whatever drew a crowd)and speakers and performers. So I emailed began emailing the bands, speakers and performers that I wanted to be at this event. I gathered information, contacted booking agencies, local radio stations and advertisement companies. I was pretty much on a roll in trying to pull ChristFest! off for 2006, until I hit a brick wall.... I needed money in order to pull something like this off! And it wasn't exactly the first thing on the agenda. Some agencies weren't really willing to work with me because this would have been the first time I pulled something like this off. But I figured if I had God on my side, then nothing could stop me. And with that mentality, I went on in the middle of March (going on April) contacting "possible sponosors" to help me out with my cause. I was about ready to sell my soul in order to pull this event off, and I didn't understand why I couldn't find anyone to sponsor me. ChristFest was supposed to originally happen by August of 2006! All my hopes were dashed when July 2006, rolled around, and I still had no kind of funds to make the event happen. I didn't understand what God was doing, if this was something that I was supposed to do for Him, then why didn't He let it come through? "It wasn't time yet." I was frustrated with God that I had spent all my time in trying to make this happen and He's just going to say: "It's not time yet?!!" I was hurt, angry, and confused with God, and so I began to run like Jonah. I somewhat went into seclusion, I stopped listening to anything that migh have even remotely been God speaking to me.... But the ChristFest! desire would not leave me alone... ...TO DO! Still frusturated,(but more miserable and humbled)I turned back to God and asked Him what he wanted me to do. And God answered in simple soverignty, "Continue what you started, it will do you great good to do so...." So with that "simple command", here we are, in the year of 2007. I've can honestly say that I have grown a lot since that time, (and I am still growing). I am putting all my past works into action. What I described to you here is only half of the struggles that I have been through in order to make this event possible,(but they were the most important)thousands of times, I considered giving up and not doing ChristFest. But Jesus reminds me, even to this day.... "It wasn't easy for Me to die on the Cross. Imagine what would have happened if I gave up..." To me the Crucifixtion somewhat begins in the Garden of Gethsemene (Matt 26:36-56, John 18:1-12). Jesus knew the will of His Father. He was Jesus Christ, why didn't He have more courage to die on the Cross? Jesus came to the earth to glorify the Father in everything He did and said, so even though Jesus has power, He allowed Himself to be a human being for the sake of glorifying (pointing to) God. Jesus could have called a thousand angels down to rescue Him from suffering the pain on the Cross, but He didn't because then God's plan wouldn't have been completed..... I'M DIVING IN... 2 Corinthians 4:17 says: "For light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Meaning, sometimes the "weight" of the Cross we are asked to carry seems unbearable at times. And when we think about it (for our sakes) It would be easier for us to give up. But take a moment and think about this, think about the verse above and roll it over in your mind several times. "The weight of what we are fighting will be worth the eternal reward in the end!" Sure we could go halfway through, but what would have happned if Jesus "halfway" died on the Cross. Too many of us wouldn't have the "luxury" of knowing what it's like to be redeemed from sin. And I'm also speaking of those who were in the grave before Christ came... One day we will all stand before God to give an account for what we have done with the time that He has blessed us with. And our hard work will not be in vain... I encourage anyone who has something to do for God, and you know without a doubt that He has called you. Know this, someone is praying for you as you carry your Cross to manifesting what the Almighty has called you to do. For those who don't know what God has called them to do, it is time to get on bended knee and ask. SO I CARRY MY CROSS... So now, it is 2007, and I am working on establishing ChristFest! The goal and mission are still the same..."to lead a large mass of people, to the Cross over a three day period through the influence of Christian music, speakers, performers and testimonies. While there are no specific dates set for ChristFest! I would like to have the event somtime in August, about the first or second week of the month, if this is God's will. So far, I am planning on ChristFest! to start on a Friday and end on a Saturday! ChristFest! is to be held here in Dallas,TX inside the Reunion Arena (www.reunionarena.org) The event is non-ticketed, and seating comes on a first come first served basis. The financial goal for ChrsitFest! is $6,000,000 ($6 million) or more, (as more artist and speakers are added to the roster, this amount is subject to change), this will cover any or most of the expenses for the event. And you can help me make this happen be recommending this website to as many people as you can, tell them about the mission, and at the end of the webpage there is some information about an online magazine fundraiser in which, you or someone you know can subscribe or renew a subsription to one or more of your favorite magazines, and all funds will go towards the ministry cause. And I personally thank you (whoever you are) for your support in ChristFest! Ministries. Sincerely, In His Prescence and Service, Jackielyn Rivers And lo, there at the foot of the Cross, though they jeer Him, pressuring Him to give up, He cried out to Heaven, "Father, please forgive them, for they know not what they do!" P.S.- I welcome criticism about the site, it will be updated as often as I can get to it. If you have any suggestions or inquiries about anything, please don't hesitate to email me at: mallguineablue@yahoo.com and please feel free to sign the GUESTBOOK! The ChristFest! logo was generously, and patiently done by Todd Doty at Flair for Design Graphics (www.flairfordesign.com) Thanks Todd for your support and patience in the ministry! ************************************************* A MESSAGE TO THE UNBELIEVER: Dear Friend, whomever you are, I don't know what to say to make you belive in the message of a risen Christ except this.... Over 2,000 years ago, there was a Man, by the name of Jesus Christ. He was one of the Greatest prophets, healers, and teachers that you'd ever want to know. Though He was a King in Heaven, He came to the earth born of a Virgin to die for your sins. You are doing something right now that God is not pleased with, and the bad thing about it, you don't even know. God is watching your every step, and He hears your every breath, and I gotta say that the way you're living right now is not something that He's pleased with; let's take a look: (1)Have you ever lied to anyone before? (2)Have you ever stolen anything from anyone before? (3)Have you ever said God's name for no reason at all? (4)Do you always honor you mother and father? (5)Have you ever committed adulterey? DANGER!!!DANGER!!!DANGER!!!DANGER!!!DANGER!!!!!!! If you've answered "yes" to all the questions above, you are a sinner and you are in DANGER of God's wrath and Judgement..... .....but there is hope for you....... WHAT GOD WANTS... What God wants more than anything is your soul. He wants you to be saved so that you can live forever with Him in His eternal Kingdom. And to be a testimoniy to the rest of the world as to what He can do. And what do you recive in the end? Once you begin a personal relationship with Christ, you'll recieve the gift of ETERNAL LIFE! When you stand before the THRONE OF GOD on JUDGEMENT DAY, because of the BLOOD that Jesus shed for you over two thousand years ago, you can pass into ETERNAL SALVATION! WHAT JESUS HAS DONE... Over 2,000 years ago you were in danger of dying or suffering some form of death because you would break the Commandments of the Lord (see questions above). But before this could happen to you, a lawyer came and vouched for you. You were on death row, walking to your fate when a lawyer came, stood before the Judge and bodly asked, "What has this person done, how much of a fine do they owe?" "When the Judge answered; "This person has broken the Law. They have stolen, they have lied, they have committed adulterey, and they have used my name for no reason. The fine they owe is their very life." Jesus, (your Lawyer) came in before the Judge and boldy said "I will take this persons's place, and the next one, and the one after that, and so on, until there are no more "fines to be paid." Why would someone do this you ask, John 3:16 says, "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON..." This means, the death that the horriffic Jesus suffered on the Cross was meant for us. But because we could not keep the Commandments, you can imagine how few people would be here today. God looked forward into time, He saw your face, He saw my face, and He said, "In order for these people to be saved from this death, I will send my Son in their place so that they can live. INTO SALVATION... The Bible says that a man cannot be saved by just doing good works alone. You cannot even see the Kingdom of Heaven lest you are born again of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In other words, you cannot get to Heaven, and you will not see God unless you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, (For I am the Way and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me. John 14:6). And after you recive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you recieve another gift, the Holy Spirit. Man cannot do good deeds by his own flesh, but by the power of the Spirit.... Even if you know the Ten Commandments, there is no possible way that you can keep them and just do them by your own will. When you are baptized in, the prescence of God, the power given to you by Jesus' bloodshed, unto reciving the Holy Spirit (Father, Spirit, Jesus), you have the power to overcome! You ask for the Holy Spirit after recieving Christ, and the Holy Spirit will take away the desire to do those things that the Ten Commandments speak about... (1)YOU SHALL NOT WORSHIP ANY OTHER GOD BUT ME! (2)YOU SHALL NOT BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP IDOLS or any other graven gods of the earth, air or sea, for I am jealous God. (3)You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltess who misuses his name. (Cursing the name of God, or using it as a cursive word). (4)Remember the Sabbath Day (Sunday) by keeping it holy, six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath rest before the Lord your God. (5)HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER- SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG IN THE LAND THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GIVING YOU (6)YOU SHALL NOT KILL (7)YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTEREY (Sleeping with other people other than your husband, sex before marriage) (8)YOU SHALL NOT STEAL (9)YOU MUST NOT LIE (or give false testimony in court) (10)YOU SHALL NOT COVET (to be jealous of) your neighbors (brothers' or sisters'-in Christ) house, wife (husband) car, land etc. CRY OUT TO JESUS... Recieving Christ is just the beginning of the journey, but that relationship is between you and Jesus... Are you tired of living the way that you are and you are looking for more of a fulfillment in life say this: Lord, I humbly come before you as a sinner. Today I confess my sins unto you, I believe that you died on the Cross in my place that I may have eternal life and salvation. I pray that you will come into my heart, make me a new person, cleanse me, and take out what is not of you. And I ask you for the Holy Spirit, that through Him I will have the power to serve you. Make my life a testimony to others for your glory, I pray this in your name. Amen. THE NEXT STEP... If you have prayed this prayer today and you have recieved the Holy Spirit, first start by joining a good Bible based church so that you may be fed spiritually and you can fellowship with others who were once a sinner like yourself. Second, begin reading the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as they will help you understand your daily walk with Jesus. Last, tell a friend or even a stranger about what God has done for you, and pray that they might recieve Christ as you have. And tell others of how you found Jesus. May Jesus be with you friend as you begin your journey. In His Name, Amem. QUOTE OF WHATEVER IS HOLY: For Now Is Such A Time As This... ...The Kingdom of Heaven ..."But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is come unto you" (Matt. 12:28) In those days come John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying; "Repent ye: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" or "Turn from your sins....turn to God....for the Kingdom of Heaven is coming soon (or has arrived) (Matt. 3:1-2) "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to a royal position for such a time as this....the Kingdom of Heaven. (Esther 4:14) Dear reader, Who knows why you are in such a position as you are but God; for now is such a time as this, the Kingdom of Heaven. Repent ye for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.... There are a lot of things that are going on in our modern world today, in fact the things that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 about the end of the world coming is here. If you'll look around at the Kingdom of God, you'll see demons being cast out and sicknesses being healed in the name of Jesus. You'll hear about the wars and the war rumors that are taking place, you see and hear about false prophets and those who come, in the name of Jesus, if they are not pretending to be the Messiah Himself. You see the love of people growing cold for one another as spoken of in 2 Timothy. That is why there are so many divorces between man and wife, parents are killing children, and children are killing their parents. But one important thing the Bible did say to keep an eye on was the city of Jerusalem. Since the Jews are God's chosen race of people, whatever happens to them, will most likely happen to us. No matter how much you try to get out of it, if you think you can deny it, let's look at a comparison.... Jerusalem was sleeping while both their King was being born in a manger, and He died on the Cross, only a select few were "awake" (for many are called, but few are chosen). (Matt. 20:16) Here in America, the 10 Commandments were under a threat to be taken out of the court rooms, the words "under God" were to be taken from the Pledge of Alligience, and the phrase "In God We Trust" is under fire to be taken off the $1 bill.... Only a select few were "awake" to see it and fight for it. A handful of people out of a full nation..... Casting Crowns has a song on their Lifesong cd titled, "While You Were Sleeping." The song speaks about how so few people (if any) are awake when these "supernatural happenings" are going on from the King of the World being born in a manger, to His magnificent return in the clouds. The reason why the Bible says to watch Jerusalem is because they were the ones with the Commandments of God first. They are God's chosen people, they are the ones who passed the Laws of God to us gentiles. (Read the conversions of the Apostle Paul from Acts to Romans). This next statement might sound a bit contradictory to the latter but I will explain: We don't have to depend on the Jews to tell us what's going to happen next. Being a gentile Paul (and Jesus) taught us that having a personal relationship with Christ is sufficient (Let no man come to the Father but by me...). In other words instead of depending on the Jews (no offense) to spoon feed us the Word of God little by little (literally) we have the Bible right before us. "You give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." (Japenese Haiku) We have the Word of God before us ourselves. Jesus said that the Great Commission was to go into all the world making desciples in all the nations. Then the end will come. Take a good look at the Kingdom, there are more converts and believers in Christ alive now, then when the disciples roamed the earth. You have Muslims, and Hinduist, and Buddist, all sorts of nations if you will converting to Christianity. The Jews were given the Word of God directly (see book of Exodus for Moses on Mt. Sinai, and book of John for Jesus). America as a nation was founded originally on the principles of Christianity. We have (or we're supposed too) like the Jews have Jesus. And if Christ gave the Great Commission to the Jews (as He ascended into the sky) "to go and make disciples of all nations." And the Jews taught us that same thing....we are like the second Jerusalem to the nations that have not heard the Gospel about Jesus Christ. And so therefore that responsibility lies on us...... In these last days that Christ spoke of in Matthew 24, we all have a responsibility to the Kingdom of God. Dosen't matter how old or young you are dosen't matter what race or nationality you are, if you have heard about the Gospel of Christ Jesus, then you have a responsibility unto the Kingdom of Heaven. In Joel 2:28 it talks about the "Last Events Before the Terrible Day of the Lord": And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. *I highly suggest to anyone reading this that it would do you a LOT of good to read the rest of the book of Joel. It's not very long (3 books) but's it's liek the saffron spice, very potent..... Anyway, whoever you are, wherever you are, however old you are, if you have heard the Gospel about Jesus dying on the Cross for the remission of the sins for all mankind (man, woman, and child) and on the third day rising again. Then you have a responsibility to the Kingdom of God. And there are no small rolls that you do, in fact everything thing that you have done here on the earth for the sake of the Kingdom will earn a reward, even if it is something as simple as giving a homeless person a few extra bucks (these are sometimes angles in disguise, or even Christ Himself). Go the whole mile don't just give them, money, buy them a meal (if you can afford it.) And offer them your testimony or give them the Bread of Life, tell them about Jesus. But don't do anything without the help of the Holy Spirit.... If you see a person who is in need of your help and you feel a tugging a your heartstrings to help in whatever way you can (even if you walk up to them and say "God Bless You") God will not overlook your deed and He will bless you. But you have to be willing, a willing person has an humble heart and therefore they can hear from God, God can use them and then He can bless both or all of you...... PLEASE! DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS MESSAGE>>>>> Do not cast it off as nothing maybe God is talking to you through this, and only you would know that. Maybe He is using this to push you to do something for Him that you are running away from (don't wind up like Jonah) you may think you're not going to get swallowed by a whale but He's the same God today, tommorrow, and forever (just kidding) :)- But seriously, if you have a calling from God, and you know that He's calling you, from experience on more than one level I can tell you that it would be wise to open the door to your destiny...... For now is such a time as this....the Kingdom of Heaven! God loves you and so do I; May the Lord Keep You, May the Lord Bless You and be with you always..... "For I am coming soon.....the best is yet to come!"
