November Work Parties
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Every building needs to be maintained. The church is no different than your own home. There are lots of projects that will need our attention over the next year. We have put together a list to help prioritize the projects and inform people about the work we need to do as a church. If your can help with any of these projects please contact Ed Chmielinski, Jeff Grussing or e-mail Property & Grounds.
The Property & Grounds Committee have announced the following Saturday dates for Work Parties starting at 9:00 AM:
November 14th
See the church bulletin board for a complete listing of projects. All projects can be completed anytime, e-mail or give us a call and we will make arrangements for you. Thank you to all who have helped at these work parties!
Life Is A Beautiful Journey
A healthy and growing faith is like a healthy and growing church. It needs to be rooted in gratitude for everything that God does for us. We hope the Stewardship event will be an opportunity for all of us to count our blessings and respond with generosity and gratitude for this beautiful journey we call life.
Whether the times of our life are joyful or troubled, we turn to God and the church to give it all meaning. It's here that we receive inspiration, guidance, hope, friendship, and a spiritual foundation for ourselves and our family. It's from that experience of God's love that our gratitude flows. Every day is a new opportunity to share our gratitude for God's blessings. We do that by sharing our time, talents, and money. We can use our skills and talents to do the work of the church. We may have talents for beautifying the church grounds, cleaning, baking, praying, singing, teaching, caring, repairing, and so many other things. By offering our time and talents the church comes to life. The same is true of our financial blessings. St. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, "The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Your offering touches many lives but most of all your own. It's in giving that we receive. Prayerfully consider the ways your offering enriches your life and the impact that it will make in the work of our church and our Lord.
May God continue to bless you daily,
The Gratitude Gang
