Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is the social ministry arm of over 800 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregations in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Our mission is "Motivated by the compassion of Christ, we help people improve the quality of their lives."
For over 120 years, Lutheran Social Services (LSS) of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan has served people in need regardless of their race, religion or economic standing. Today, our services touch 90-plus communities in the two-state area. Over 250 programs including adoption, counseling, foster care, and services for older adults and people with special needs, help nearly 100,000 people annually.
And while we have touched many lives, the need for our services just keeps growing. The challenges facing families and communities in this day and age are staggering.
