Against Pride - wearing of gold for decoration, such as finger rings, bracelets, lockets, etc. This does not include the wearing of wedding bands ( Proverbs 16 : 18 ; I Peter 3 : 3 ; I John 2 : 15 - 16) 21.Against Uncleanness - this includes the use of tobacco in any form ( II Corinthians 7 : 11; James 1 : 21) 22. Against women members cutting their hair (I Corinthians 11 : 5 ) 23. Against Swearing ( St. Matthew 5 : 34 ; James 5 : 12) 24. Modesty is required of All members of the Church (I Timothy 2 : 9 - 10 ; I Peter 3 : 3 - 5; Galatians 5 : 19 ; Romans 12 : 1 ; Revelation 3 : 18 ; Colossians 3 : 5) 25. Against homosexuals and lesbians being members of any of the churches of our organization, as God's word comdems such ungodly acts. ( Romans 1: 21-28 ) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, beastiality, incest, fornication,adultry and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex. (Genesis 2:24;19:5-7; 26: 8-9; Leviticus 18: 1-30; 20:13; Romans 1:26-29; I Corinithians 5:1; 6:9; I Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4 ) We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. ( Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5: 2 - 23;) Any Minister who solemizes any same sex union shall be disfellowshipped with the Church of God Mountain Assembly, Inc. 26.The Church of God mountain Assembly takes the position that abortion is homicide, which God's holy word comdems (Exodus 20:13; Matthew 19: 18 ) therefore we are against abortion , except in the case when the mother's life is diagnosed to be in danger, and abortion is perscribed to protect her life. 27. The Church of God Mountain Assembly , Incorporated believes that nations can and should settle their differences without going to war. However, in the event of war, if a member engages in combatant service, it will not affect his status with the church. In case a member is called into military service who has conscientious objections to combatant service , the church will support him in his Constitutional rights. 28. Against infants being taken into the Church - All children under the age of 12 years of age are under question by the church. 29. The New Testament is our Creed and Teachings - and we further believe all Scripture as being given by inspiration of God, is profitable for doctrine , for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. ( II Timothy 3 : 16 ) 30. We prefer the King James Version ( KJV ) of the bible and , therefore , advise our members to use this version. 31. We shall not use the word " Pentecost " when referring to the Holy Ghost.
