8 - The Grace Five Meetings - GOOD NEWS MEETING

JESUS, THE HEALER FOR AN AGE IN NEED OF HEALING

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL GRACE FIVE MEETINGS NEED TO BE DONE IN ORDER TO MEET THE NEEDS

OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.

THESE 5 MEETINGS FORM THE BASIS OF CHRISTIAN STRONGHOLD IN ANY COMMUNITY.

BLESS YOU.

NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AT EVERY MEETING, THE HANDBOOK IS TO HELP THE

LEADER OF THE OF THE MEETING MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE, UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF

THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE DETAILS HERE SERVES AS AN OVERVIEW.

Jesus said:

But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:

for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

                                                                                    Matthew 9:13 [1898 Young’s Literal translation]

Everything that follows in these handbooks must be considered in the light of the above scripture,

and it would do well to remember that Christians also commit sin.

Having experienced mercy it will be our joy to do the spiritual sacrifices detailed in the handbooks.

GOOD NEWS MEETING

SIN OFFERING MEETING

DAY OF ATONEMENT MEETING

"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered

himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so

that we may serve the living God."

                                           Hebrews 9:14.

The sin offering sacrifice is obligatory by believers and the New Testament equivalent is accepting

salvation and forgiveness.

In Leviticus 4 we find the sin offering in which blood and flesh atone for sin.

The purpose of the

GOOD NEWS
SIN OFFERING MEETING

is to preach the good news of the Gospel of atonement by salvation through Jesus Christ.

We need to let the people know the Good News of the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How

beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

                                                Romans 10:15. [New International Version]

Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land

                                               Proverbs 25:25. [New International Version]

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.........

                                Mark 16:15. [New International Version]

We need to remember it is the Holy Spirit that brings conviction: -

When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement.

                                                                                John 16:8. [New International Version]

We need to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in practising this meeting.

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to release

the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."

Luke 4:18, 19. [New International Version]

I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by

believing what you heard?

                                                                                  Galatians 3:2. [New International Version]

.......the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

                                                                                            Galatians 6:8.

Then the Lord said, "My Spirit will not contend with man for ever, for he is mortal; his days will be a

hundred and twenty years."

                                Genesis 6:3. [New International Version]

John 16:8  and having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and

concerning judgment;

John 16:9  concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in me;

John 16:10  and concerning righteousness, because unto my Father I go away, and no more do ye behold me;

John 16:11  and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world hath been judged.

JOHN 16:8 - 11. [1898 Young's Literal translation [see also the AMPLIFIED BIBLE]

God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.

                         Acts 15:8. [New International Version]

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus

the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do

in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to

be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law

might be fully met in, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead

will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

                                Romans 8:1-4. [New International Version]

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit and the Spirit, he cannot

enter the kingdom of God.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to the Spirit.

                                                                                                    John 3:5, 6.

He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit...

                        Titus 3:5. [New International Version]

For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

                                                          Ephesians 2:18. [New International Version]

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration

of the Spirit's power... But God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

                                                                1 Corinthians 2:4, 10. [New International Version]

....., because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit

and deep conviction.

1 Thessalonians 1:5. [New International Version]

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things

that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.

Even angels long to look into these things.

1 Peter 1:12. [New International Version]

But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

He who is not with me is against me, and he does not gather with me scatters.

And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit

will not be forgiven.

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the

Holy Spirit will not be forgiven,

either in this age or in the age to come.

                                                           Matthew 12:28. [New International Version]

Peter replied, " "Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins

may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children

and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call."

                                                                                Acts 2:38, 39.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,

and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

                                                                                        Acts 1:8. [New International Version]

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.

                                                                                     Isaiah 61:1. [New International Version]

A study of Acts 2 gives a good example of how to go about it.

The correct way to bring people to repentance through sharing the `Good news' with them that God's

goodness and kindness will change their lives is shown below: -

- In Timothy 4:5 we are all asked to do the work of the ministry, to help the evangelist.

The pattern in the Godhead is the Son, Who speaks and takes part in actions to bring about the Will of

the Father, and acts always in the interests of the family.

The Evangelist should have major input into this area in terms of equipping the saints to do the work

of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the Church).

Biblical type = Peter and Barnabas.

We need to understand the New Testament equivalent of the feasts: -

"We observe throughout the scriptures that whenever the feasts etc., were observed - great

defeats of Israels enemies; and great prosperity were the result for Israel.
Psalm 89:15 [See Amplified Bible Version]

DAY OF ATONEMENT................................................GOOD NEWS MEETING

The Lord said to Moses, The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly

and deny yourselves and present an offering to the Lord made by fire. Do no work on that day, because it is the

Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. Anyone who does not deny himself

on that day must be cut off from his people. I will destroy from among his people anyone who does any work on

that day. You shall do no work at all. This is to be lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

It is a Sabbath of rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month

until the following evening you are to observe your Sabbath."

                                                                Leviticus 23:26-32. [New International Version]

Perfecting of the church 10th day

Throughout history the bride has always prepared herself for the bridegroom; and in the church's case

`he can present to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy

and blameless.' She will be a church that any husband would love to have; and she marries him with

the knowledge that she is looking her very best.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another

- and all the more as you see the day approaching.

                                                                           Hebrews 10:25. [New International Version]

What was needed was constant communion - breaking of the Bread of His Presence  `Do this in

remembrance of Me'- until Jesus was seen appearing.

Unfortunately, there was a breach of promise between Pentecost and Tabernacles in historical Israel;

and so it has proven to be the case with the New Testament Church.

Israel - failed to go into the land in God's timing.

The Church - failed to go into the world in God's timing.

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: "How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard

the complaints of those grumbling Israelites. So tell them, `As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do the

very things I heard you say;......................."

For forty years-one year for each of the forty days you explored the land-you will suffer for your sins and know

what it is like to have me against you.'

                                                                     Numbers 14:1,2,34. [New International Version]

The Lord forgives the unfaithfulness of his people, not once, but many, many times. He himself practises

what He preached: -

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me?

Up to seven times?"

Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

                                                                      Matthew 18:21,22. [New International Version]

Who gets married;

who goes to the feast?

Not all Christians will enter into the Feast of Tabernacles.

The bible talks of three categories of Christians.

The Passover Christians: those who have the Word of God but have not moved on to experience

the gifts of the Holy Spirit or to have gone through -the outer court- the sanctification process in

the next category. [The lepers anointing].

The Pentecost Christians: those who have the Word of God and the gifts of the Spirit and are

experiencing sanctification as the gifts flow -the Holy Place-; but who have not entered into an

experience of daily living with a full, continuous moment to moment experience of the Most High

God. [The priestly anointing].

The Tabernacle Christians: those who have the Word of God, and the gifts of the Spirit, and who

have entered into an Ark of the Covenant experience in the Holy of Holies - the secret place of the

Most High. [The kingly anointing].

Thus we have -

1. going through the veil ---------------------Covenant Meeting

 Mark 7:7 [New International Version]

They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.' {Isaiah 29:13}

8  You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

9  And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe

{Some manuscripts set up} your own traditions!

Mt 5:17 - 45[New International Version]

17  "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but

to fulfil them.

18  I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a

pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19  Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be

called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practises and teaches these commands will be called great

in the kingdom of heaven.

20  For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law,

you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

21  "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, `Do not murder, {Exodus 20:13} and anyone who

murders will be subject to judgment.'

22  But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother {Some manuscripts brother without cause} will be

subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, `Raca,' {An Aramaic term of contempt} is answerable

to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, `You fool!'

will be in danger of the fire of hell.

23  "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something

against you,

24  leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer

your gift.

25  "Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him

on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you

may be thrown into prison.

 26  I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny. {Greek kodrantes}

 27  "You have heard that it was said, `Do not commit adultery.' {Exodus 20:14}

28  But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in

his heart.

29  If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part

of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

30  And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part

of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

 31  "It has been said, `Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.' {Deut. 24:1}

32  But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become

an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

33  "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, `Do not break your oath, but keep the

oaths you have made to the Lord.'

 34  But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;

35  or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

36  And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.

37  Simply let your `Yes' be `Yes', and your `No', `No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

 38  "You have heard that it was said, `Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' {Exodus 21:24; Lev. 24:20 and Deut. 19:21}

39  But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40  And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.

41  If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

42  Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

43  "You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbour {Lev. 19:18} and hate your enemy.'

44  But I tell you: Love your enemies {Some late manuscripts enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to

those who hate you} and pray for those who persecute you,

45  that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and

sends rain on the righteous and the unright

Leviticus 23:1 - 44 [New international Version]

1  The LORD said to Moses,

2  "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: `These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the

LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.

3  "`There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly.

You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.

4  "`These are the LORD's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times:

5  The LORD's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.

6  On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must

eat bread made without yeast.

7  On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

8  For seven days present an offering made to the LORD by fire. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly

and do no regular work.'"

9  The LORD said to Moses,

10  "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: `When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its

harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.

11  He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the

day after the Sabbath.

12  On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the LORD a lamb a year old without defect,

 13  together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah {That is, probably about 7 1/2 pints (about 4.5 litres);

also in verse 17} of fine flour mixed with oil--an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma--and its

drink offering of a quarter of a hin {That is, probably about 1 1/2 pints (about 1 litre)} of wine.

14  You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain, until the very day you bring this offering to your God.

This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

15  "`From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.

16  Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.

17  From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with yeast, as a

wave offering of firstfruits to the LORD.

18  Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams.

They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings--an offering made by

fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

19  Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering.

{Traditionally peace offering}

20  The priest is to wave the two lambs before the LORD as a wave offering, together with the bread of the

firstfruits. They are a sacred

offering to the LORD for the priest.

21  On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly and do no regular work. This is to be a lasting

ordinance for the generations

to come, wherever you live.

22  "`When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings

of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.'"

23  The LORD said to Moses,

24  "Say to the Israelites: `On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred

assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts.

25  Do no regular work, but present an offering made to the LORD by fire.'"

26  The LORD said to Moses,

27  "The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves,

{Or and fast; also in verses 29 and 32} and present an offering made to the LORD by fire.

28  Do no work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the

LORD your God.

29  Anyone who does not deny himself on that day must be cut off from his people.

30  I will destroy from among his people anyone who does any work on that day.

31  You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

32  It is a sabbath of rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the

month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath."

33  The LORD said to Moses,

34  "Say to the Israelites: `On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD's Feast of Tabernacles begins,

and it lasts for seven days.

35  The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work.

36  For seven days present offerings made to the LORD by fire, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly

and present an offering made to the LORD by fire. It is the closing assembly; do no regular work.

37  ("`These are the LORD's appointed feasts, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing

offerings made to the LORD by fire--the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings required

for each day.

38  These offerings are in addition to those for the LORD's Sabbaths and {Or These feasts are in addition to

the LORD's Sabbaths, and these offerings are} in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the

freewill offerings you give to the LORD.)

39  "`So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land,

celebrate the festival to the LORD for seven days; the first day is a day of rest, and the eighth day also is a

day of rest.

40  On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars,

and rejoice before the LORDyour God for seven days.

41  Celebrate this as a festival to the LORD for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for

the generations to come;

celebrate it in the seventh month.

42  Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths

43  so that your descendants will know that I made the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of

Egypt. I am the LORD your God.'"

44  So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the LORD.
