Forgiveness
|
If we are to have fellowship with God, we have to forgive. If we deny the person who has hurt us that forgiveness, then we endanger the fellowship we have with the Lord.
I was sexually abused as a child and I could very easily let it ruin my life. I almost did, but I thank the Lord everyday for teaching me about forgiveness. Nobody understands what a child can go through, the many emotions, the pain and the hurt, but the forsaken part is so hard to deal with. God has taught me you can't unscramble eggs. It happened, but it also enabled me to help others who it has happened to as well. I thank Him for walking beside me every step of the way. No, He didn't pick me up and take me out of anything that I have been through in my life, but He sure did help me get through it.
Why do bad things happen to good people? Especially children. There is so much evil in our world today, but yet people want to blame it on God. He's always there, no matter the trial, no matter the mountains. He's always there.
You can start over again. You can be healed. You can start having good things in your life to replace the bad things.
When the devil tells you you can not be different, you can not be made whole, you can not be loved or forgiven, look him right in the eye and call him a liar because that's what he is!!!!
There is nothing too hard for our God. If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it. God is my fortress, my refuge in the time of storms. I will bless the Lord at all times. He is so merciful and so good to me. He is so gracious and kind to me. If you don't know Him in your life, please ask Him to come into your heart. Your life will never ever be the same, and oh the rewards and the promise of an eternal life with Him. What a joy it will be to praise Him through all eternity.
