Bibles For South East Asia is focused on giving Bibles and portions of the Bible to give to those who do not have the Word of God.
Why the Bible is essential for the Christian life?
1. The Word of God is the light unto the feet.
2. The Word of God is the spiritual food for the soul.
3. The Word of God is the way for our life.
4. The Word of God reveals the perfect will of God.
5. The Word of God brings life and hope into our life.
6. In South East Asia many are unable to attend the church meetings due to severe persecutions at home and community. If they have a Bible they can read the Word at home.
7. Everyone cannot afford radio or television. But a Bible costs only 30 cents.
8. If there is a Bible at home everyone can read and study the Word at their convenience.
9. All believers will grow in their faith when they have daily Bible reading.
The 'LIFE OF CHRIST' tapes and the 'TALKING BIBLE' in their local language are given to those who cannot read, blind or do not have their language in written form.
All Bibles that we give are printed and made in India in the different local languages, or in each South East Asian country that we work.
We can meet the target cost of $ 300, 000 for 1 million New Testaments with the help of partners, like you, who donate as the Lord lays on their heart.
We have native christian workers with us in South East Asia to help us to distribute across the great land mass of South East Asia. You are also welcome to come over to help in distribution.
We believe as God's Word says that we can do all things through Christ who strengths us.
"ALL OVER THE WORLD THE GOSPEL IS BEARING FRUIT AND GROWING, JUST AS IT HAS BEEN DOING AMONG YOU SINCE THE DAY YOU HEARD IT AND UNDERSTOOD GODS GRACE IN ALL ITS TRUTH." Colossians 1: 6.
Rather than just randomly distribute Bibles, Bibles For South East Asia strategically places Scriptures through Bible study programs, with the help of the local church in each area that we work.
This strategy is based on the story in Acts 8, were Philip explained the Scriptures to a traveling Ethiopian, who then accepted Christ... "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked. "(The Ethiopian) said, "unless someone explains it to me." So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8: 30-31.
The cost of each Bible is only $ 0.30 cents. Bibles For South East Asia Mission only needs $ 300, 000 for ONE MILLION BIBLES to be given to ONE MILLION HOUSE HOLDS WITH AN AVERAGE OF FOUR TO FIVE PEOPLE PER FAMILY that would reach, in total, FOUR TO FIVE MILLION PEOPLE for them to know who GOD is through the Word of GOD!
One Bible would be given to one family. In South East Asia there is on average about 5 people in one family.
The sum's are as follows:
$ 0.30 cents per New Testament,
$ 1.50 for 1 full Bible,
$ 150 for 100 full Bibles,
$ 300 for 1, 000 New Testaments,
$ 300, 000 for 1 million New Testaments.
1 New Testament/ full Bible for a family of an average size of 5.
That means a total number of up to 5 million people would be reached for Christ!
