Vision Statement and Purpose
Holy Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! To the Ministers, Deacons, Saints, Members, and Friends of Bethel Apostolic Church, here is a brief overview of our Vision Statement, Purpose, & Beliefs.
Our Vision Statement and Purpose consists of three main points:
-
First, to preach repentance for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand (Matthew 3:2 – 4:17).
-
Second, to love all people because they are all God’s creations (Matthew 5:44 – 47).
-
Third, to feed the hungry; give drink to the thirsty; house the homeless; cloth the naked; visit the sick and those who are in jail or prison (Matthew 25:34 – 46).
In short, we are to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father which is in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). Remember to apply these three points to your life and you will do well.
What We Believe
-
We believe that salvation comes only through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin.
-
We believe that all have sinned and came short of God's glory and that repentance is required by God and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
-
We believe that holiness is God's standard for living for his people.
-
We believe that baptism should be by emersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
We believe that speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
-
We believe that divine healing is provided by Jesus Christ through faith.
-
We believe in remembering the Lord's Supper.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.
-
We believe and teach the giving of tithes & offering.
-
We believe that marriage is instituted by God and is a union between a man and a woman.
-
We believe that the rapture of the true church of God will take place in the future.
-
We believe in the final judgment of the living and dead and the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness will dwell.
