Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Bill Roberts began his ministry as pastor of Bible Baptist Church on February 10, 2008. Pastor Roberts as born in Dumas, TX, but his family moved to Cactus, TX while he was still very young where his father worked for Phillips Petrolium Company. Pastor Roberts was saved at the age of 6 and knew by the age of 12 that he had a special calling to the ministry.
Hs family moved back to Dumas when Pastor Roberts was in the third grade. He continued his education in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School in 1973. After a period of time working in the gas fields, Pastor Roberts made the decision to attend Bible College. He attended a Bible College in Greeley, CO, from 1984 until 1988 when he graduated. From there he became the Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Rifle, CO, and served there until late 1993. Pastor Roberts returned to Dumas and worked in several churches there until he accepted the call to Pastor Bible Baptist Church in January of 2008.
Pastor Roberts and his wife Carol married in December of 1977. They have a son, Michael Roberts, who lives in Syracuse and works as the butcher at Syracuse Food Center. They have another son, Brannon, who lives in Raleigh, NC, with his wife Lisa and son Rylan, and a daughter, Alyssa Banning, who lives in Johnson with her husband Jerrad.
