LAVENDER DAYS
Lavender days
When the sun shines through a haze
From whence dancing butterflies
And bees, engage in frivolity
On this they’re working days.
To gather lavender
On lavender days
Is to immerse oneself in
Scents with out sensibility
For heady am I in an insensible daze.
Lavender days
Brings tranquillity to my ways,
As my fingers tie my lavender
In sensual bouquets.
My thoughts inspire me
To dry them for all to gaze.
Lavender days
When stillness is appraised
So levelling that I am amazed
By the beauty in one
Pinhead patch of Gods earth
Can I sit and laze.
Lavender days
The gardens are ablaze
With hues, and creatures
Thankful am I of this moment
In the hours of lavender days.
