History of the Ministry

It was back in 2002 that the birth of the Ministry took place upon the conviction of His call in my life into the ministry of the Gospel and to serve Him as a native missionary. His call was so clear that I could not help but responded to it by going straight ( for which I was sure, I was led by God) to Shan State, Myanmar where I began to work as a native missionary among the underprivileged and forgotten hill-tribe people groups, namely Lahu, in villages. The Lord confirmed His call by stablishing His church in a village in 2003, better known as New Bethel Village and another church, Yangon Grace Bible Fellowship, in October last year, 2006.
Ongoing Ministries

1. The church in Bethel village is going well and its future pastors, Timothy and his wife Phoebe, are being trained in Yangon, the capital of Myanmar.
2. Channeling those supports that we received from like-minded brothers in Christ and the offering of the Church, YangonGBF has and supports three native missionaries (Samuel & Kamte’s family, John Lian Be’s family and Andrew Thang Lin Om) who are active in reaching out others with the Gospel and with an expection to plant churches as the Lord leads.
3. YangonGBF is also currently reaching Buddhist children and adults in Yangon area with the love of God.
4. Books are being translated and distribted in various ethinic languages in Myanmar.
5. Our missionaries are reaching their own community and in places the Lord leads them to witness.

By the miracle of God's common grace of reproduction, there has never been anyone in the whole history of the world exactly like you and me, and there never will be again. We have only one life, and our whole duty is to obey God and live our life as He would have us live it. Just like Esther of old, if we are a Christian believer, we are here for such a time as this. We have a responsibility to be salt and light in the darkness.Just like John the Baptist of N.T,may we also be one walking on earth like a shining light in darkness leading those in darkness to the light of God's Kingdom through Jesus Christ.
