SEO VS PPC (Pay Per Click)

Summary of “SEO VS PPC (Pay Per Click)”

The title of this video sounds like alphabet soup!  But you do not want to miss this informative video by Mark and Kurt Steinbrueck, with OurChurch.com.  In this video, they clearly explain the benefits of using SEO versus PPC (or pay per click).  A common example of PPC is AdWords.  After watching this video you will understand the difference between SEO and AdWords and be able to make a decision on which is right for you.

Benefits of AdWords
With AdWords, you are buying your way into the search engines.  It can produce instant results.  For example, you can create your AdWords account and by the end of the same day you can be ranking well for competitive keywords.

You also have control over the text.  With AdWords you can direct what page you want your traffic to hit.  For example, you might want to direct traffic to your sales page or a landing page with contact information.  You have that control when using AdWords.

Benefits of SEO
SEO is a process that takes time, so while it isn’t instant like AdWords, it does have a cumulative effect over time.  By building links, getting citations and shares, you are building the authority of your site.  The good news is that if you need to back off SEO for a while, you do not lose the gains you have already made.

SEO is also a better long term investment.  With AdWords, you pay per click, so each visitor has a set cost associated with them.  With SEO there is no limitation on the number of visitors.  For example, if you are paying $1 per click in AdWords and have 500 visitors your total cost is $500.  For SEO, if you pay $500 for the service and only have 250 visitors, then it might seem like your SEO costs are twice that of AdWords.  However, if over time your visitors increase to 1000, then SEO is easily the better investment.  With SEO you would have already invested the $500 in order to reach 1000 visitors, but with AdWords it would cost you $1000 to reach 1000 visitors.

Some may find the best option is to start with AdWords for instant results, and overtime switch to SEO for the cumulative effect and long term results.  We’d love to partner with you to use our years of skill and expertise to get you ranking well.  To learn more about how we can help you rank better, get more visitors, and increase conversions, please complete the form below and request a free, no-obligation consultation, right now.
