November is E-commerce Month at OurChurch.Com. All this month we're focusing on helping businesses and ministries better understand e-commerce issues and implement e-commerce solutions more effectively. 1) Upgrade Specials
If you want to have any hope of running a successful e-commerce site even if your just hoping to generate a little extra income for yourself, your business, or your ministry, at the very least you need to have your own domain name, which comes free with any premium hosting package at OurChurch.Com. And really you should have Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze account so you can add a real shopping cart and the Ad-Free option.
OCC understands that no single hosting package is the perfect fit for every organization, so this month we're offering half off the second year when you upgrade to any hosting package or the Ad-free option.
- Domain Package: $4.13/mo ($99 for two years)
- Bronze Package: $9.39/mo ($225 for two years)
- Silver Package: $12.50/mo ($299 for two years)
- Gold Package: $18.71/mo ($449 for two years)
- Platinum Package: $23.71/mo ($569 for two years)

Because our goal is to help you take a step forward, these special rates are only available if you upgrade your site to a better hosting package than you currently have. For example, if you currently have the Bronze Package, you can receive the discounted rates if you upgrade to Silver, Gold, or Platinum, but you would not be eligible for the discounted rates on the Domain or Bronze packages. Similarly, the Ad-free Special is available to those sites that currently do not have that option (regardless of the hosting package) but not to those who already have the Ad-free option.
2) Free Links for E-commerce Sites
We want to recognize and reward those sites that have e-commerce functionality by including a link to them in our list of featured e-commerce sites. To qualify, the website must be hosted by OurChurch.Com and a person must be able to complete the transaction to purchase a product or service through your website. Websites with the check out process handled by PayPal or a merchant services provider qualify. However, sites that simply list products for mail or phone order do not qualify. Affiliate sites do not qualify, and neither to sites that only accept donations but do not sell any products or services. If your e-commerce site qualifies, drop us a note in our help desk and include the name and URL of your website. The sooner you contact us the higher up on the list your site will appear.
3) Free iPod Nano Giveaway
In addition to adding a link on this page to your site, OurChurch.Com will also enter you in a drawing for a free iPod Nano. The 1 GB iPod Nano holds about 250 songs or 15,000 photos, weighs less than 2 ounces, and is valued at $150. To be eligible, websites must meet the e-commerce qualifications described above, and notify us through the help desk by November 30, 2006. The drawing will be held December 1, 2006 and the winners name will be disclosed in an announcement later that day.

As if the free links and iPod Nano giveaway were not enough, we will also feature this page and one of the e-commerce sites listed on it in our monthly Webmaster Newsletter scheduled for distribution November 15. Of course, you've got to send us a link to your site so we can add it to this page before those newsletters go out if they are to have any benefit to your site.
