The judges have submitted their picks, the results have been complied and the 12 winning photos have been posted in Christian Photo Contest Winners Gallery. There were a lot of amazingly beautiful photos that helped to give us a glimpse into the awe-inspiring creativity of the wonderful God we serve. Thanks to everyone who participated in the photo contest. We hope you'll continue to glorify God through the art of photography.

OurChurch.Com is awarding $700 in cash prizes as a part of its first Christian Photo Contest. The photo contest is an effort to highlight the work of photographers who give us a glimpse into the glory of God through the art of photography.

A first place prize of $100, second place prize of $50, and third place prize of $25 will be awarded in each of the following four categories:

1) God in creation. The winning photos will be those that best feature the glory of God in nature.

2) God in humanity. The winning photos will be those that best exemplify the glory of God in people.

3) Christian Symbols. The winning photos will be those that most creatively and artistically capture Christian symbols such as a cross, a church, or an advent wreath – human artistic creations designed to point us towards God.

4) NE1 Fun. The winning photos in this category will be those that best demonstrate the motto of OurChurch.Com’s NE1 Website Builder: A Website for Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere.

The NE1 Fun category is an off-beat attempt to inject a little humor into the contest. We’re looking for pictures (real or manipulated) that show unusual people, at unusual times, in unusual places using a computer with the NE1 logo on it. The more creative the better. (See the NE1 Fun web page for examples and graphics that can be used)

Photographers can submit their photos to the Christian Photo Contest group on Flickr.Submissions will be judged by a panel of Christian photographers, and the winners will be announced and featured on the OurChurch.Com website March 31, 2008.

Rules

• A photo must be uploaded and added to the Christian Photo Contest group on Flickr by midnight Eastern time on March 24, 2008 to be considered.
• You must be the creator of any photo submitted and have the legal rights to distribute it.
• By adding a photograph to the Christian Photo Contest, the individual grants OurChurch.Com non-exclusive rights to use the photo for commercial/promotional purposes.
• Participants may submit up to 3 photographs per category for a total of up to 12 photographs.
• A photographer is eligible to win in multiple categories, but only one prize per category.
• Winners will be contacted through Flickr, so you must have a valid email address associated with your Flickr account.
• OurChurch.Com reserves the right to remove/disqualify any submitted photographs it deems inappropriate or ineligible.
• OurChurch.Com reserves the right to reduce the cash prizes awarded if less than 20 eligible photos are submitted for any particular category.
