The text displayed on the navigation buttons is determined by the “Page Name” of the page the link is directed toward. For example: When you create a website, your homepage has the Page Name “Home”, therefore “Home” is displayed in the navigation menu. If you change the Page Name of the homepage to “Homepage”, then “Homepage” would be displayed in the navigation menu. This is the only function of the Page Name, so changing the page name will not affect any other settings or page content. When setting up external links, the same technique is used to determine the link text. Please see the “External Links” help page for more information about creating external links.
