Day 43 Update - And the winner is…
As the AIDS Clickathon completes its 6th week and rolls into its 7th, we have surpassed the $1,500 threshhold. Two weeks remain.
Tuesday, Marketing Pilgrim announced the winner of the online marketing competition, and unfortunately the AIDS Clickathon article came in third. The winner was determined by a panel of judges. The AIDS Clickathon received 3 votes from the judges and two other articles received 4 votes with a tie-breaker determining the winner. There were some nice comments posted about the AIDS Clickathon in the article.
I came across a really cool story today while reading Rick Warrens weely newsletter for pastors: 12-year-old makes dream of providing school for AIDS orphans a reality A 12-year old boy raised $35K in 2005 for AIDS orphans in Africa and then $60K to build a school last year. This year he wants to raise $150K to build a medical lab in Zambia for people with HIV/AIDS. Pretty amazing!
Thanks again to everyone who is helping to spread the word about the AIDS Clickathon. Keep sending emails and telling your friends. We can do a lot more good in the last 2 weeks.
